Lajos Arday

Historian, doctor of MTA (Hungarian Academy of Science), supervisor in Institute for International Studies, Corvinus University, Budapest.

Areas of research: Great Britain, English-Hungarian relations, minorities, European and Transatlantic national identity, Yugoslavia. His publications, consisting of more than 150 items, includes 9 individual volumes.

 

Nelu Bradean-Ebinger

Habilitated professor, candidate of Linguistics, Core Member of PhD doctoral School, Institute for International Affairs,; Member of Scientific Council, Corvinus University Budapest; former Member of several scientific committees in MTA (Hungarian Academy of Science).

Spent time at universities of Lyon, Uppsala (1988), Munich (1991), Bern (1993), Klagenfurt (1995), Tübingen (1996) as Guest lecturer and researcher. Professional awards: Excellent Worker, awards of Dean and Vice-Chancellor.

 

Mihailo Crnobrnja

Graduated at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Belgrade University, obtained Master of Law degree at Maryland University. Held lectures on Middle-European topics at McGill (Montreal) and Carleton (Ottawa). Between 1978-84, President of Economic Research Institute, United Bank of Belgrade, afterwards special advisor on EU issues in the first democratic government of Serbia (2001-2004), then EU Ambassador of Yugoslavia to the European Union. Currently teaching at University of Economic, Financial and Administration of Belgrade, and Consultant of European Integration at Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations. Disposes of extensive academic knowledge and experience in European integration and transition.

 

János Hóvári

János Hóvári serves as Deputy State Secretary for Global Affairs. He served as Ambassador to Kuwait, and Israel. He was Secondee Diplomat to the Slovenian EU Presidency, and as Head of Section of the Middle East Peace Process with Department of Middle East and Africa of Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was recently appointed as the Hungarian Ambassador to Turkey.

He was Associate Professor at the Department of History of the Janus Pannonius University, Pécs, 1984-1992; Research Fellow at the Institute of History of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences 1979-92.

János Hóvári holds MA of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Faculty of Arts, Departments of History and Turkish Studies, he earned his Ph.D. in History (Ottoman Studies).

 

Katalin Szilvia Jung (J.D.)

(J.D.) Research fields: European judicial cooperation in criminal matters, Human rights, Ethnic and racial discrimination, Relating case law of the European Court of Humang Rights and the European Court of Justice, Environmental liability and remediation scheme of the European Union

 

Csaba Kiss Gy.

Doctor of MTA (Hungarian Academy of Science); Reader of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Department of History of Civilization; Director of Institute of Middle-Europe, Teleki Foundation; guest lecturer of University of Zagreb (1999).

Areas of research: National myths and civilisational relations of Middle-Europe; Upper-Hungary as a multicultural region in the 19-20th century.

 

István Magas

Candidate of MTA (Hungarian Academy of Science), Head of Department of World Economy at BCE (Corvinus University, Budapest).

Studied at the University of Paris, Salzburg, Bocconi; lectured at Connecticut, Willamette, Texas, Oxford, Central-European and Webster University.

Areas of research: systems of world economy, global tendencies and regulation of stock market.

Awards: Teaching Excellence Award, Oxford Brookes, IBS-B, 2001; Effective Teaching Int.l Business Award, Indiana University, 1994; Széchenyi Professzor, FPI, 2003.

 

István Majoros

Head of Department of New- and Modern-Age History, ELTE; Core Member of PhD School of Historical Science (Core Member), supervisor at PhD school of International Relations, BCE (Corvinus University, Budapest), lecturer at PhD School of Historical Sciences, SZTE; Doctor of MTA (Hungarian Academy of Science).

Studies and researches at Paris and Strasbourg; his historian oeuvre is primarily based on archival research in France. Participates in the work of several French doctoral schools.

Areas of research: international relations in the 19-20th century – French foreign policy, French-Russian, French-Soviet, French-Hungarian relations; comparative history of Europe in the 19th century.

 

Pál Pritz

Habilitated professor, Department of New-and Modern History, ELTE; Doctor of MTA ((Hungarian Academy of Science). Researches in archives of Wien, Potsdam, Bonn, Koblenz, Munich and Bern; holds international conferences in Dortmund, Gottingen, Otzenhausen, Moscow, Wien, Graz, Brühl, Jyvaskyla, Bloomington, Debrecen, Ulm. Author of a number of volumes and essays; editor.

Areas of research: Hungarian foreign policy in the 20th century, foreign political thinking, foreign administration.
